ASHBURN, Va. (AP) Washington Redskins kicker John Hall strained his right groin during practice Thursday, his third leg injury of the season.

Hall will be held out of practice Friday and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

''We're concerned about it,'' trainer Bubba Tyer said.

Hall was hurt kicking during a special teams drill. He tried one more kick, then had to stop.

Earlier this season, Hall was playing with two strained hamstrings. He hurt the right one, his kicking leg, in the opener against Tampa Bay and left the following week against the New York Giants.

Swedish kicker Ola Kimrin, who was in training camp with the Redskins, was signed to the practice squad as insurance, but was released after the Giants game. By late Thursday, the Redskins were considering re-signing Kimrin.

Hall has made seven of nine field goals and all six extra point attempts this season.

Meanwhile, linebacker LaVar Arrington took part in live drills Thursday, but he appears as if he'll miss his fourth consecutive game since having knee surgery.

''We're making improvement, and he's doing better,'' Tyer said. ''But he's not quite there.''

Tyer said defensive end Phillip Daniels will need another two to four weeks to recover from a groin injury. Also, right tackle Kenyatta Jones is bothered again by a sore ankle, making Ray Brown the starter for Sunday's game. Brown has a hamstring injury, but is listed as probable.
